MASSCREATIVE
Our organization envisions a Commonwealth of Massachusetts where arts, culture, and creativity are an expected, well-funded and valued part of everyday life, and are recognized as having significant impact on building civic engagement and economically vibrant, equitable communities.
MASSCreative advances the advocacy learning, cross-sector alliances and organizing efforts necessary for a more equitable and inclusive arts, cultural and creative sector for all in Massachusetts. We are dedicated to partnering with Massachusetts residents, artists, creative and culture workers, as well as local arts leaders and cultural organizations to attract the attention and resources necessary for the creative community to lead here in the Commonwealth.
Together, we will make Massachusetts a creativity-driven state from the ground up.

We believe that a healthy and publicly supported creative sector leads to a stronger, more resilient, and civically engaged Massachusetts.

The arts and cultural sector in Massachusetts is incredibly rich and diverse.
We believe in the necessity of building a stronger creative ecosystem that encompasses all artistic professions, creative disciplines, and cultural expressions. We will only have a stronger sector when all parts of the ecosystem are able to flourish.

We believe that universal access and participation are essential to achieving a strong creative sector and economy.

As a grassroots organization, we work in deep coalition with artists, creatives, culture bearers, cultural nonprofits, creative businesses, and other members of the creative sector to inform our advocacy and work.
We believe that we can achieve our vision for Massachusetts’ creative sector through collective organizing. Collaboration and listening are central to our approach.

We believe that engaging in arts, culture, and creative experiences enhances civic participation and strengthens democracy.
We believe that the creative sector is a proven catalyst for voter education and engagement.
