On Friday, May 2, the Trump Administration released its FY26 Budget proposal, gutting the National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, Institute for Museum and Library Services, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. That same day, the National Endowment for the Arts sent notices to existing grantees that their grants had been terminated.
