Have you noticed how conversations feel tighter lately—more stress, more snap, more loneliness?
This one-hour “munch & mingle” is a welcoming kickoff to BreakLabs: The Neighbor Method, a community learning and wellbeing series that treats libraries as information + care infrastructure.
Through a short performance-lecture (movement + story), a simple interactive tool (“tight/loose/whole” language), and a nonpartisan community action, we’ll practice “truth without turning on each other” by banning devaluing as a culture and learning the stance of wise empathy (empathy with discernment, boundaries, and repair).
Participants will write warm messages of appreciation plus one community need that may be added to an “Another Street” community wall.
This hybrid event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available while supplies last.
