Update from Arts Advocacy Day in DC

MASSCreative ED Matt Wilson was in DC in early April to meet with the MA Congressional offices to encourage their support for the National Endowment for the Arts and its investment in the MA creative community.  President Obama's budget, which came out last Wednesday, called for a $9 million increase to the NEA budget to bring it to a total of $155M.

While budget increases are hard to come by in this session's Congress, the MA delegation understands the need for increased public investment in the creative community in the Commonwealth.

To help us prepare for our visits, Massachusetts' own YoYo Ma delivered the 26th annual Nancy Hanks lecture. Read about his talk and see the video.
