In California, school administrators and arts educators are teaming up on a new way of thinking that may change how we can use the power of arts education in our schools.
For the past two years, California school districts have been utilizing arts programs to achieve the goals of Title I by facilitating student engagement and learning, strengthening parent involvement, and improving school climate and school wide behavior.
Title I provides federal funds to help improve academic performance of under-resourced communities and students. It is the largest single source of federal education dollars.
Please join the Arts for All Coalition on December 6 to hear Laura Smyth from the California Alliance for Arts Education talk about California’s work and what we can do here in Massachusetts to expand arts education in schools and districts across the Commonwealth.
Please join other education leaders and staffers to hear Laura and the work of the Arts for All Coalition as we work to encourage and assist the Commonwealth and school districts from across the state to invest in arts education to achieve the goals of Title I.
