Over the next four months, MASSCreative will work to organize face-to-face community meetings with the 200 Representatives and Senators as they develop the budget for the Commonwealth. The Massachusetts Cultural Council’s (MCC) budget is again stuck at $9.6 million – half of what it was a decade ago.
The MCC plays a vital role in supporting arts and cultural institutions, artists and youth programs that help build vibrant and connected communities. Yet because of budget cuts to the Council, the MCC can only distribute 50% of what they did just ten years ago to the creative community.
Please support MASSCreative’s campaign to restore investment in Massachusetts’ creative community. Let’s use the power and beauty of the arts and cultural sector to build vibrant and connected communities.
