Be an Arts Voter: Celebrate #VoterRegistrationDay on September 27
Arts and Democracy go hand in hand.
Last week, MASSCreative launched Create the Vote 2016 to engage candidates and voters on arts and cultural issues and the role they play in building a more vibrant, healthy, and equitable Massachusetts.
The goal of the non-partisan Create the Vote work is to encourage candidates to develop strong platforms on arts and cultural issues and to educate voters on where the candidates stand. All candidates for state senate and state representative have been sent a brief questionnaire to fill out about where they stand on the issues and are posted on our website. If you do not see your candidates’ questionnaires, give them a call and urge them to complete it.
On September 27, to further show the political strength of the arts and cultural community, MASSCreative invites you to celebrate National Voter Registration Day and ensure your friends, family, and neighbors are registered to vote.
Participation in our democracy strengthens our communities.
