Rep. Sanchez in support of a budget increase

This forum is a chance to share stories of how the arts impact and benefit their local communities and further, why funding for the arts needs to be increased.

We've held five meetings so far, after the success of the first kick-off meeting in Pittsfield, with more to come over the next few weeks.

Sánchez acknowledged that he is focused on increasing the funding for Health Care and Education based programs, he has also promised to help increase funding for the arts. According to an article posted in the Jamaica Plain Gazette:

"He committed himself to advocating for greater funding and promised to co-sign a proposed budget amendment that would increase arts funding."
