We are excited to come together to strengthen the arts & culture advocacy voice in MetroWest.

The MetroWest Arts & Culture Advocacy Convening will bring together arts and cultural leaders and supporters from the region to:

  • Share advocacy needs and provide feedback to MASSCreative on its plans
  • Hone advocacy and storytelling skills
  • Get involved with local and statewide arts & culture advocacy campaigns
  • Connect with colleagues

Agenda:

9:00: Welcome & Breakfast

9:15: Overview and feedback on MASSCreative’s Operational and Policy Plans

10:00: Workshops:

           • How to tell your story for social change
           • Steps to campaign planning
           • Using social media to elevate the whole arts & cultural community

Would love to join this forum except that it happens to be at the exact time I have another long-standing appointment. Wishing you all the best. You might address some of my pet issues:
*Entertainment trains: Working to get solid transportation from the suburbs to Boston for entertainment. There is $$ in Metrowest.
*Theater connection: Establishing a marketplace/clearinghouse where created work can more easily be seen by producing entities.
*Continuing to boost the Boston nexus as a new arts hub equal to Chicago and the like
