Create the Vote Forum with John Connolly

On Friday, October 25, John Connolly visited the Villa Victoria Center for the Arts to meet with the creative community and to highlight his Arts & Culture Agenda. Connolly also praised the work of the Create the Vote coalition during the mayoral race saying, "You've been the signature advocacy campaign in this election." He told the crowd that in his first four city council races he did not talk about arts and culture issues. “I ran for City Council four times before I ran for Mayor and I don’t think we ever talked about the arts. What you [the creative community] have done in this race has been amazing.” The work of the Create the Vote coalition helped educate Connolly on the key role that arts and culture play in the health and vibrancy of the city.
