The Arts are a vital part of a young person’s growth. I have been an arts educator for over 27 years and I have seen how children who are “at risk” shine and become leaders during a dance and/or theater class. It is extremely important to keep the arts alive and supported in our schools and communities.

The organizational endorsement needs to come from the Chair. However, I am an actor (AEA, SAGAFTRA) so I personally endorse the coalition’s work to raise awareness that the arts are an essential part of our humanity – not a frivolous luxury.
