  1. How would you engage the creative community to drive economic development and build social capital in our neighborhoods and throughout the city?

    I would engage the creative community to drive economic development and build social capital in our neighborhoods and throughout the city by recommending we have this community at the decision-making table. I would like the creative community to be a part of the Worcester 2015 plans.
  2. What revenue sources will you create or use to increase the city’s investment in the creative community?

    The revenue sources I will create or use to increase the city’s investment in the creative community is to first see how creative community connects to the Community Preservation Act, consider public private partnerships, and leverage tax increment financing.
  3. What will you do to support arts education in the city’s schools and in our community?

    As city councilor to support arts education in the city’s schools and in our community, I will work with the school community to revamp the curriculum so it has a larger role.
  4. Worcester is fortunate to have leadership in its administration that supports public art throughout the city. Would you support a Percent for Art program for state and local development projects?

    Yes, I support a Percent for Art program for state and local development projects.
  5. How would you use the arts and culture community to build connections that maintain and support the ethnic and socioeconomic diversity that makes Worcester a truly creative city for all?

     I would use the arts and culture community to build connections that maintain and support the ethnic and socioeconomic diversity that makes Worcester a truly creative city for all by welcoming the arts and culture community to the table. This will help in economic development. We need this community in the Worcester 2015 plans.
  6. What will you do to provide more affordable housing and work spaces for artists?

    To provide more affordable housing and work spaces for artists, I will make work spaces for artists part of the planning and economic development. Affordable housing is very important to me and vital to Worcester’s future.
  7. The Worcester Cultural Coalition Needs Assessment demonstrates the current supply of space does not meet the demand of the arts community. What steps will you take to address this problem?

    Again, the steps I will take to address this problem to recommend they are part of the master plans. I will be a champion of the arts community. We need to incorporate arts in new development.
  8. What personal experience with arts, culture and creativity have your participated in over the last year?

    The first personal experience with arts, culture and creativity that I have participated in over the last year is Disney on Ice. Being a new father, I’m looking forward to attending my children’s art shows and hopefully some more cultural activities in the community.
