Action Alert: Thank Your Legislators for Supporting Arts & Culture!

7/31/20 5pm Update:

The House and Senate appointed members to a conference committee to reconcile the versions of the bills. This action alert is now closed.

On Tuesday July 28, the House passed H.4879, An Act Enabling Partnerships for Growth. The bill includes $11M in authorized spending for artists, nonprofit arts and cultural organizations, and arts educational experiences.

This is great news!

We encourage you to write a note of thanks to your state representative, letting them know how crucial this spending will be for the arts and cultural sector.

Today, Wednesday July 29, the Senate will start debate on S.2842, An Act Enabling Partnerships for Growth. Already included in the draft is $20M in authorized spending for arts and cultural nonprofits. This means that both the House AND the Senate know the value of arts and culture to a thriving Commonwealth.

Please write a note of thanks to your state senator for the $20M authorization and their continued support for our community.
