Arts Matter Day of Action
Next Friday, October 24th is Arts Matter Day and we want to invite you to celebrate with the Massachusetts’ arts, cultural, and creative community.
We all know that arts matter - they drive our economy, they enhance education, they help build vibrant and connected communities.
Join more than 200 arts and cultural organizations for this Arts Matter Day of Action and share why arts matter to you. All of our actions will create a huge buzz to show that arts matter in MA and matter in the November 4 election.
Here are the most important ways you can engage:
- Take the Arts Matter pledge and invite others to do the same by sending out and an email to your list or by putting an announcement in your newsletter.
- Share your Arts Matter story with a video or picture and invite others to do the same. Post it to social media with the hashtag #ArtsMatterDay. Check out our YouTube gallery and Facebook album to see what others are sharing.
- Social media: Support our Thunderclap and see our sample social media posts.
- If you work for a performing arts organization, tell your audiences about Arts Matter Day with a curtain speech.
- Go to an arts and cultural event on October 24. Check out our participating organizations.

I am an artist. I first became involved when I was 3 years old, following the example of my sister who was 9. I got a BFA from Notre Dame and an MFA from Yale. At 78 years old, I am still an artist. It is my life.
