That's why this year (and every year) MASSCreative is ALL IN for an equitable and accessible arts and cultural community in Massachusetts.
Throughout 2021 MASSCreative has provided advocacy skills building, knowledge sharing and grassroots organizing to artists, cultural workers and arts supporters across the Commonwealth.
And our shared efforts have paid off:
- The State legislature increased the annual arts and cultural budget allocation to $20 million - a first in over two decades.
- Boston elected a pro-arts Mayor who engaged with artists and cultural organizations through the Create the Vote Boston coalition.
- The State legislature included direct allocations for arts and cultural recovery in both American Rescue Plan Act spending plans.
These wins do not happen by accident. They happened thanks to united and sustained arts and cultural advocacy - all of us joining together for change. MASSCreative depends on support from arts and cultural supporters and practitioners across the Commonwealth who believe we are stronger when we are ALL IN for united advocacy.
