On March 14, Mayor Marty Walsh and his team started their search to fill the new Arts and Cultural Affairs Commissioner position. The Arts and Cultural Affairs Commissioner is a cabinet level position whose main responsibility entails formulating “a comprehensive Arts and Cultural Plan for the City”. Furthermore the commissioner will work closely with Mayor Walsh and will oversee the Boston Public Library, the Boston Art Commission and the Boston Cultural Council.
